Tennessee Donor Services Celebrates Faith and the Gift of Life During National Donor Sabbath

November 14, 2025

National Donor Sabbath is observed each year two weekends before Thanksgiving, from Friday through Sunday. This year, the observance will take place November 14–16, bringing together people of faith across the nation to reflect on the power of giving and the life-saving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation.

This three-day observance intentionally spans the primary days of worship for major religions practiced in the United States, creating space for all faith communities to come together in support of donation.

During National Donor Sabbath, faith leaders, donor families, transplant recipients, and donation professionals unite to share stories of hope and healing. Through worship services, community events, and educational programs, they help raise awareness about the ongoing need for life-saving transplants and encourage individuals to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.

Be A Light

All major religions affirm and encourage donation as an expression of love, charity, and the sanctity of life.

National Donor Sabbath provides a meaningful opportunity for faith communities to discuss their teachings on donation, celebrate donor heroes, and inspire members to make a difference by saying β€œyes” to the gift of life. Register your decision today.
