Supporting

donor

families & recipients

Everyone who is part of a donation story deserves caring, compassionate support. Tennessee Donor Services is here to provide guidance and resources to help donor families and transplant recipients on their courageous donation journey.

Donor family resources

We understand how important it is for families to be supported following a loved one’s gift of donation. TDS provides donor families with helpful resources, bereavement materials, and information on local support groups.

Transplant recipient resources

Like many transplant recipients, the time may come when you want to write a letter to your donor’s family. You may want to express your gratitude for their loved one’s gift or let them know how you’re doing. A note or letter can bring great comfort and healing to those going through the grieving process.

If you are a transplant recipient and would like to correspond with your donor’s family, please contact your transplant center for correspondence guidelines and an address.

Share your

story

Your story can provide hope, inspiration, and healing. We invite you to share your personal connection to donation and transplantation.

Celebrations and memorials

We are committed to honoring donor heroes and their legacy. Learn how we can help celebrate and honor your loved one.
