Happy International Thank You Day: TDS Starts the New Year with Gratitude

January 12, 2026

As we enter the new year, Tennessee Donor Services would like to take a moment to pause and say thank you.

On International Thank You Day, observed each year on January 11th, we recognize the power of gratitude and acknowledge the kindness, efforts, and contributions of those around us, and at TDS, there is so much to be grateful for.

We are profoundly thankful for our donor heroes who said “YES” to donation, the families who honored their loved ones’ wishes during incredibly difficult moments, the great people who make this work possible each day, and the supporters and partners who continue to stand with us beyond the holiday season. Your selflessness saves lives and offers hope to the 3,000 Tennesseans on the waitlist.

While International Thank You Day gives us a special opportunity to reflect, gratitude is something we strive to lead with every day.

Need some inspiration? Here are some gratitude-filled things you can do to celebrate International Thank You Day:

  • Reflect on who and what you’re grateful for.
  • Write thank you notes.
  • Perform small acts of kindness.

And if you’re ready to turn gratitude into action, consider registering as an organ donor. One decision can save and heal lives.
