A Powerful Op-Ed: Encouraging the Black Community to Embrace Organ Donation

Tennessee Donor Services Ambassador and liver recipient, Dr. Wille Mae Hubbard’s op-ed in The Tennessean urges the critical need for all Tennesseans to say “YES” to organ donation–especially members of the Black community.

This Black History Month, step into Dr. Hubbard’s story as she recounts her transplant journey, shares how her donor’s decision enabled her to continue saving and improving lives through her practice as a pediatrician, and the importance of people from all ethnic backgrounds registering as organ, eye and tissue donors.
