Watch: Tennessee Vols Player, Nate Ament, Teams Up With TDS To Save Lives
March 10, 2026

Basketball fans know that a great assist can change the game. During the recent rivalry matchup between the Tennessee Volunteers men’s basketball and the Vanderbilt Commodores men’s basketball, fans were encouraged to make an assist that matters far beyond the court, registering as an organ donor.
To help spread the message, Tennessee Vols Basketball Forward, Nate Ament, joined the CEO of Tennessee Donor Services, Jill Grandas in a 30-second video encouraging Tennesseans to sign up as organ, eye and tissue donors. The spot aired during the Donate Life game and reminded fans that a single decision can save multiple lives.
Watch The Ultimate Assist Message:
Every day, people across Tennessee are waiting for a second chance at life through organ donation. Yet many of them will wait months or even years for a lifesaving transplant. Increasing the number of registered donors helps ensure that more families have hope when they need it most.
That’s why Tennessee Donor Services works alongside hospitals, community partners and organizations like Donate Life America to educate the public about the power of organ, eye and tissue donation.
Sports partnerships, especially with passionate fan bases like Vol Nation, help amplify that message. When fans see their favorite athletes advocating for donation, it creates a powerful connection and inspires people to take action.

Register today and make your lifesaving decision.
Because sometimes the most important assist you can give doesn’t happen during the game, it happens with a simple decision to say yes to organ donation. 🧡
