Williamson Health Donate Life Month Flag Raising Highlighted in Newsletter

April 22, 2025

Employees at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN are flying high after their flag raising ceremony was highlighted in their internal newsletter during National Donate Life Month. Many of its staff and community partners surrounded the flagpole for a poignant ceremony on April 10th to raise the Donate Life flag as a bold reminder of the impact that donation has on saving and improving lives and honor the selfless act of donor heroes.

“Raising this flag is a meaningful way for us to acknowledge the incredible generosity of donors and their families, and to underscore our commitment to supporting organ and tissue donation,” said K.C. Mincey, director of the Williamson Health ICU. “We are proud to have personally seen how organ donation transforms lives and be part of a system that brings hope to so many.”

National Donate Life Month is about the importance of registering your decision to be a donor, honoring deceased and living donors, and celebrating the lives they saved. It is the generosity of donors and donor families that makes saving lives through transplantation possible. The medical center reiterated its support for National Donate Life Month by featuring the ceremony and other related activities in its employee newsletter and calling attention to ways to register.

As nearly 3,000 Tennesseans await a lifesaving organ transplant, Tennessee Donor Services appreciates the support of each of our medical partners in encouraging everyone to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor and spreading the word about the importance of donation.
